3D Model of my initials with Fusion 360
Highlighting 2D faces of the alphabet N, K, J
Letter K was angle and positioned higher to give the loft more curve
I envisioned this 3D model to be at a scale
where a person can walk through it.
Like a tunnel.
The main material I chose was timber.
Touching a wooden surface gives people a feeling of safety and being close to nature.
It has a very low embodied energy aswell.
Next, interior floors are made up of dark marble.
Marble has more mass providing stability to the structure and walking on it feels luxurious.
Glass panels is then added to the sides to give panoramic view to the surrounding.
Top is then covered with high reflective blue chrome so as you look up,
it reflects the space you're in in a distorted way

STUDIO ACTIVITY
ITERATION OF MY CARDBOARD ROOM MODEL
With the cardboard version of my room created in week 5,
I added features to increase visual comfort in my room.
Mainly, to open up the Eastern face to welcome more morning sun
Site plan from WEEK 5 for reference.
BEFORE: Small eastern window
AFTER: Large Folding glass doors, small balcony and louvers towards the north.
Small balcony provides me instant access to air from the outside.
Louvers are angled in a way that it allows sun light to come in but
maintain privacy from the neighboring backyard.

Net of balcony to be added

Balcony added.
Interior view. 3pm light setting
